Grout has dried different colours
Hi Guys
Been on a job with 2 floors to do finished on Wed evening then and had to go back to silicone today but the grout has dried as different colours - taking back up to redo but cannot think why.
Used Ardex ocean grey the one floor
Other floor used classic vanilla and that already looks dirty.
Can anyone help to explain ?
Thanks
Mark

Re: Grout has dried different colours
When you say different colours.. is this like light and dark shading..?
Is the grout polymer modified..?
And what method of washing off did you use.. and how did you mix the grout.. by hand or a paddle..?

Also this might help why polymer modified grouts dry patchy etc..

may not be fully dry either. even in my hot climate it can take up to a fortnight for it to dry and have a nice even colour

Re: Grout has dried different colours
I've never experienced any shading issues with Ardex-Flex grouts. How quickly did you wash the grout off and what method did you use? Is it possible that you have washed too soon and / or used too much water?
