Default Help with an uneven Floor - 1st timer!!

    Hi All,

I'm laying floor tiles for the 1st time in the living room right through to the dining room and I've run into a problem as the the floor is uneven in parts.
The problem : there is a 1 inch dip between the living room floor to the dining room with a slope of around 6 inches wide and then the floor levels out again an is okay.
To confuse me even more, the slope is not as steep on one side of the room were there is only 1 cm difference.

The floor is wooden floorboards and is securely fitted to the Jots.

I was thinking of laying 18mm ply wood going straight over the slope, (possibly filling it out?) and securing to the floorboards and then making the adjustments by leveling with the adhesive.
I'm thinking of using Keraquick Flex adhesive.

Is this a good way to go or is there any suggestions? I'm not overly fussed if there is a slight slope as long as it's not drastic.
As I mentioned this the 1st time I'm laying tiles and the missus is back in a week and needs to be suitable dazzled!

    Many Thanks

If I'm reading your situation correctly, youre not to far off. I'd replace the section of floorboards with 18mm wbp (ply) and use a self levelling compound to level it up

    Thanks for the suggestions.

So to be clear if I take up the existing uneven floorboards and replace with 18 mm WBP Ply wood and level I'll be okay?
Also I'm thinking of using mapei Keraflex and Mapei Ultra Colour Grout due to what i've read, not out of actually using it before.
The area is around 27 m2 in total.

One more thing which has sprung to mind, what kind of consistency should both the adhesive and
the grout be? I'm assuming if I just follow the instructions on the packet (will have to be a 1st!) I should be okay?

    Thanks
