Re: tour 2010 binned!!
Mapei UK Ltd has opened the newly specified Training Centre at its UK headquarters in Halesowen, offering an extensive training facility.
This purpose built facility, which includes individual practical areas, demonstration zone as well as the theory suite with a showcasing area , will offer further practical experience to trainees on Mapei’s Ceramic, Resilient and Building Product training courses.
Mapei’s product training programme includes theory and practical sessions on: Sub-Floor and Wall & Floor Preparation, General Preparation for Tile Types, Weights, Surface, and Backgrounds for both Walls & Floors and Product Classifications.
Throughout the training all products within a range are explored, with particular emphasis on capabilities, usage and system solutions with trainees able to build core competencies by gaining more practical experience of the products and techniques. Mapei training is all delivered by in house accredited trainers. The new practical demonstration centre is up to the industry standard and available for use for NVQ certified academies to contribute to their students’ product knowledge.
“We are committed to helping our trainees continue to build their knowledge of preparation, new and existing products and applications. Mapei strongly believes in professional development and for that reason will continue to make all of our training free of charge. And by extending the practical element of our courses, trainees have a risk free way to expand on current skills by using the latest products and techniques while they are training,” says Chris Myatt, Training Manager at Mapei.
Mapei UK Ltd will officially open the new Training Centre with one day training courses on Thursday 22 July (Resilient, Textile and Wood Flooring Product Training) and Friday 23 July (Ceramic Tiling Product Training). The Training will be free-of-charge and will take place from 9:30am to 4:30pm. Attendees will receive a Product Training Pack and a Mapei goody bag which includes literature and free samples.
“Great day from start to finish. Very informative all round. Good explanation of products and I now have better understanding of the products I already use,” commented Matthew Burt after attending a session.
For more details on the Training Centre and to book a place on the launch date training courses please contact Mapei’s Marketing Department on 0121 508 6970 option 4 or email uktraining@mapei.co.uk. Places are limited so early booking is advisable.
