Which Mapei Adhesive for 10mm Large format porcelain tiles in the
Tile Adhesive, Grout and Substrate Preparation at TilersForums;
Hello, laying down 44mm x 66mm porcelain floor tiles on perfectly level floor. which adhesive shall I use? Mapei Keraquick or Keraflex?
Datasheet for keraflex says surfaces ready for use ... -

Which Mapei Adhesive for 10mm Large format porcelain tiles
Hello, laying down 44mm x 66mm porcelain floor tiles on perfectly level floor. which adhesive shall I use? Mapei Keraquick or Keraflex?
Datasheet for keraflex says surfaces ready for use in 14 days, do you have to wait that long, its a bathroom floor.
Any guidance appreciated. Thanks

It depends on how quick you tile..?
What substrate do you have..?

Its joists, 18mm gyproc flooring boards, 12mm ply on top of that, 10mm marmox insulation boards, ufh & levelling compound. All timber screwed down at 300mm centres.

Sorry Phil, you're right, what I mean't was near enough smooth & flat surface, due to the levelling compound....
, perfectly level it ain't....there are deviations on the floor when putting a straight edge to it...
I'm a newbie to tiling, so I'm pretty slow. apart from the setting time, is there any advantage of using Keraflex over Keraquick?

Keraflex has a pot life of 8 hours, and an open time of 30 mins. Keraquick is a rapid set, giving you less time to adjust tiles. I would go for Keraflex
