What order of installation?
I'll be tiling onto a new screed and I'll also be installing underfloor heating electric cable. I need to tile onto the screed early so I'll be using an uncoupling membrane but I also want to use insulations boards for the heating wires. What order would I put these down? Thx Ross

Re: What order of installation?
Surely the insulation boards will act as a decoupler and prevent any additional moisture issues, so why the need for a decoupler?

2 different ways of fixing. Is either way ok then?

If the insulation board does act as a decoupler then excellent! Save me money on buying a membrane too

Re: What order of installation?
With ufh you will need the wires on top of the insulation boards, he is fixing travertine, so I would use the ditra on top of the wires to isolate the trav from any expansion

Re: What order of installation?
To stick the boards down you will need to use an adhesive suitable for adhering to green screeds and the boards are not un-couplers.. just insulators.
The expansion and shrinkage of a new screed might de-bond the boards, so it is worth asking the technical of the adhesive you will be using for it's suitability of what you intend to do and also for it's purpose of sticking insulation boards to a green screed.
