Got a job coming up with large format ceramic wall tiles. I am planning to used bagged adhesive (keraquick or similar) and seeing as the walls are new plasterboard and true, I will be using a 8mm trowel.

What sort of coverage per 20kg bag can I expect using the 8mm square notch trowel?

Sorry for such a basic question but the job is tight on money and I am used to using tubbed gear on walls.

Not sure what addy your refering to tubbed or powdered

About 5 metres a bag, I allways back skim the tiles as well

smon how big is the area

As beam, I work on 5/6 m2 per bag

8mm trowel.. will be 6 mtrs a bag easy..

i would reckon about 5m2 with backbuttering

Is that back butter or back skim..

Thanks for your replies, its 10 sqm, so hopefully I can get away with 2 bags.

2 x 20kg bags will do the job with back skim.
