Re: Mapei exclusive adhesive in Tile Giant
Has anyone noticed how slowly this goes off compared to other rapidsets? Says on bag use within 15-20 minutes but it seems to be workable for well over an hour.

It still sets in the time it says on the bag.. just the pot life will be longer sometimes more than it states.. you have to remember that setting times or pot life is dependent on 20 dg C..

Re: Mapei exclusive adhesive in Tile Giant
I have been using this tonight and yes it does have a long pot life. Its not quite as modified as Keraquick and not sure i want to use it as is on ply floor though. Still going for the keraquick on this one. Tis a good price though

Re: Mapei exclusive adhesive in Tile Giant
Used it a few times now. Decent stuff, I was told the only difference between this and keraquick is that it's not suitable for UFH and it can't be mixed with Latex Plus.

Re: Mapei exclusive adhesive in Tile Giant
Used the proquick recently, very good price but was not impressed at all with it compaired to the old stuff (kerraquick) i think! It was harder to achieve a good bond with the tile imo, seemed to have a sandyer feel to it and less tacky! Only use it now to flatten out dodgy walls!

Re: Mapei exclusive adhesive in Tile Giant
ProQuick is the equivalent to the standard Mapei Rapid Set. ProFlexible is the equivalent to Mapeker Flex
