hi all, i will soon be tiling my mates kitchen, well splashback in between worktop and wall units. will i get away with using tubbed addy for this job? the ... -

what adhesive for kitchen splashback?
hi all, i will soon be tiling my mates kitchen, well splashback in between worktop and wall units. will i get away with using tubbed addy for this job? the walls have been skimmed and the tiles are the little 4x4 inch buggers!

if they are ceramics and the wall is primed then yea a good tubbed will suffice.
As always besto to use slow bagged but as and when i still do splashbacks with tubbed.

Your adhesive sounds fine. Did a joiner fit your mates kitchen worktops? A spirit level will tell you whether or not you're going to have a smooth tiling experience...

i used mapei p9 for mine , excellent stuff to use imo

thanks for the help people, so should the walls be always primed using both bagged and tubbed addy?
yeah im sure a joiner done the worktops but i have my level at the ready lol

Yes mate, always prime walls. Try to use the same primer as your adhesive (same make)

bal tubbed adhesive does not need priming first as it contains a primer,i would check on the back of the tubs instructions and applications first
