Discuss Strange Plywood ?!?! in the Tile Adhesive, Grout and Substrate Preparation at TilersForums; Got these for free this morning, would they be ok to tile on ?(floor) theyhave some sort of coating on them (guessing they are site boards to walk on). Or ...

    Default Strange Plywood ?!?!

    Got these for free this morning, would they be ok to tile on ?(floor) theyhave some sort of coating on them (guessing they are site boards to walk on).

    Or should I prize off that layer ?

    pobably not what you want to hear but i would give them a miss,the coating on them could stop the adhesive bonding to the ply
    alcohol-the cause and solution to all of lifes problems

    agree not recomended to tile on but you could lay 6mm cement sheet over it but it all depends on thickness

    Sorry for the late reply, its 20mm, think I will give it a miss then, would rather not cut it and waste my time if its not up to task.

    Next question ... anyone want some FREE 'form ply' ?? lol
