hi guys, been a while but looking for some advice.i have a slate floor to tile approx 15sqm slate is 600x200x10.the floor is new screed which went down a few days ago, this has underfloor heating that runs off the boiler. problem is boiler isnt in yet and wont be for a while, now can i tile this floor once screed has dried without having to run the heating up and back down like normally? hope that makes sense !!

No
screed needs to be allowed to dry, approx 1 day per mm thicknez
heating needs to be run, brought up to temp gradually and run for about a week. Then cool down before tiling.
If not then walk away !
Will cost ya if not !!!!!

Re: slate floor
tell em 2 get it fired up first or you won't do it !
explain that tiles willcrack or lift !!
Some might suggest uncoupling membrane, but proper way is to let it run first, screed may crack

Re: slate floor
i would not tile this unless i fixed s flexi matting down before tiling if the screed cracks so will your tiles and you will end up being upset for the sake of a few pounds more.
prime sreed with sbr. fix matting with rapid flexi adhesive . allow to dry over nite . then fix with rapid set flexi grey! 10mm notch. clean then seal slate . grout with a flexi grout. seal again with slate sealer finish.

Re: slate floor
heating should be fired up gradually by 5dgs a day to full working temp,(after screed has cured) then decreased again by the same.
