Question tiling under a multifuel stove

Hi, I'm using 600x600 porcelain tiles to tile under my new multifuel stove and would like some advice on the following please:
Can I tile on top of the old tiles?
Best way to cut the tiles?
    which adhesive to use?

I would appreciate any help that you can give a complete novice.

    Many thanks

    How heavy is the stove?
If they are well fixed and clean - Yes.
    Wet cutter or rubi 600+.
Fast set flexible cement based adhesive (Mapei)

    Good luck.
