If you have been tiling that long you should know the diffrence between grout and adhesive mate tiles dont fall off due to dodgy grout.

What adhesive did you use? Was it a tubbed by any chance?

This is the first post by this member and at least 3 of the replies have contained comments bordering on churlish and 1 removed by administration.
I'am sure even a regular contributor would find the tone unacceptable and wonder what's the point of posting.
If you haven't got anything constructive/helpful/amusing to add why bother.
This is my opinion of this threads content.

Re: granfix wall grout 10kg bags (danger)
I've use Granfix grout many times with no issues, although it is not my favourite. Have you had a grout failure, i.e. cracking, or has the adhesive failed causing the grout to fall out or crack?

Does it say water resistant?
Still confused how grout has anything to do with tiles falling off!
For the record, I dont like Granfix products, shame really as the HQ is only a few miles from my house!

The data sheet only states "water resistant", am I missing something?

Re: granfix wall grout 10kg bags (danger)
It still only states "When cured it is water resistant and suitable for internal and external use."
Again, am I missing something?

Re: granfix wall grout 10kg bags (danger)
its water resistant not waterproof
I dont think a powder addy would have broke down with occasional wetting, its more likely that a dispersion addy was used and the failure is nothing to do with the grout
I know nothing I havent learnt

Now it's your turn!
If you'd like to provide the information on the product you've used then I'am sure you'll get some constructive feedback.
What was the exact name of the granfix grout you used?
How long had it been in the tile joints before the walls were subject to wetting?
Has there been any movement in the substrate?
Thanks.
