Mapei ready mixed
I have been at Mapei today testing some adhesives and grouts. The new ready mixed grout was a revelation. I was expecting something along the lines of fix n grout but to my surprise it was very good. It washed of the tile lovely and stayed firm in the joint. All in all IMO it was a brilliant grout and I can see a big future for this product (if the price is right)

Re: Mapei ready mixed
When you mentioned it in the other thread that's exactly what I thought it would be so good to know it works
Did they explain why they have developed it?

Not exactly but I do know they have been grouting vinyl tiles with it so it is very flexible and just think if you need to grout something and you don’t need a full mix you just put the lid back on and use the rest when ever no waste perfect.

Re: Mapei ready mixed
I'd think that if Mapei had thought it worthwhile to package under their own brand name, it would be good stuff.

Re: Mapei ready mixed
Mapei also have a ready mixed 2 in 1 on the market at the moment for ceramics available in 15kg. Im sure they do a few of the main colours e.g. white, grey and Beige.
Deffo will be more appealing to the diy market. It will help tile merchants sell it to the diy market too as many diyers preffer ready mixed and are put of of buying trade adhesive and grouts becuase they are put of by having to mix themselves.
