Default grouting tiles edges to walls?

    hi,

Im a tile newbie and have just tiled our kitchen floor in brazilian black riven slate. it looks lovely, however, i was wondering what is the best way to fill the gaps between the tiles and the walls? Obviously inbetween the tiles we have grouted, so we use grout in the spaces between tiles and walls, or do we use a sealant? We have used a flexi grout, will this be sufficient enough, i cant seem to find any info on it anywhere, but i apologise if its a really obvious answer!

    Thanks

    Sarah

Yes we have skirting boards, we're not quite advanced enough diy'ers to have taken them off!

Then a silcone joint is best. I must say though that skirting is far easier to remove and replace than tiling with Slate IMO.
