Is there an alternative to the suggested 18mm WBP?
(Height tolerance restriction!

)
If we could get away with an alternative overlay product say of max 6mm on top of chipboard flooring sheets what would you recommend? and how would you use it with large format porcelain tiles
Many thanks again all
Hardibacker 6mm for me. After removing the pva by sanding the chipboard down.
Make sure chipboard is screwed (not nailed) and then put down a thin layer of weber rapid plus and ad250 to the chipboard and then put hardi on top. Screw Hardi down and then use weber rapid plus and ad250 to stick tiles to hardi.
Just out of interest what size of tiles are they?

600 x 300mm (6mm depth)
can you recommend best price suppliers? need to keep further costs down.

Re: Alternative to 18mm WBP??
If the chipboard floor has minimal deflection/bounce.. then you can overboard with hardibacker 250 6mm.. and no matter whether it is pva'd it will be fine as the adhesive is to fill voids and you screw it down....but the floor must be solid.
And you need to use an S2 adhesive still IMO..
