Re: Help with grouting problem please?
Hi, Thanks for the quick reply, im using a webber white grout the tile company I bought off told me it very good grade & can be used in swimming pools. I needed something that was going to be anti fungal as its going in a bath room, they said this grout was what I would need. As for depth of raking out I dont really know I just spent quite a bit of time going oner the grout lines but some of the tiles seem very close & rank tool seemed to snag & jam at time. Hope this helps.
Cheers Alan

Re: Help with grouting problem please?
You need to rake at least 2mm or so deep and use a grout suitable for narrow joints.

Re: Help with grouting problem please?
Thanks for the advice, think i've gone at least 2mm, well hope so as I was raking for ages! Not a massive area but big enough to be a bit of a pain. Trouble is there are 3 of these bathrooms to do, So was thinking of just cleaning the the other two bathrooms grout with HG mould spray & a tough brush. There is little bits of mould on old grout but mainly discoloured in a pinky colour from soaps & shampoo. Obviously the bathroom ive raked out ill have to try & get grout back into the grout lines but dont want to make the same mistake on the other bathrooms as they just want them tidying up. What do you think of grout reviver pens. I was thinking of giving the old grout a good clean down with the HG mould sprat them go over with a grout reviver pen I seen. Like your opinion on that idea?
Regards Alan

Re: Help with grouting problem please?
wipe the tiles once grouted and left to cure for a while at an angle ,,dont go straight down the length of the grout line this can pull grout out the lines..also what are you applying the grout with did you buy a proper float for cramming it in the lines?
