Have you used adhesives and grouts that you have been pleased with, not Bal, Mapei, Webber ect but names like Topps, wickes, Evo-stick. Would be interested to here your thoughts and experiances...

Weber is ok.
Topps is ok but not cheap....i was quoted £50 a bag once....the brought it out and i walked away after a bit of bad language. Havent set foot in a Topps since.

i use toppfix regulary and think it's fine,once had to use b&q tubbed gear a customer bought and it stinks and is quite gluey,also unibond gear is hard to work with
alcohol-the cause and solution to all of lifes problems

I dont like the unibond, they also reccomend sealing the substrate with pva

used selco tubbed addy for a few (tight) landlords splash backs and one bathroom and it wasnt too bad. the tiles are still there 5 yrs later so cant be too bad. wouldnt buy myself mind
I use topps gear nearest supplier and I get a good discount will try TG when I get the chance to find the one in Chester ....Alby![]()
dont suffer problems find solutions



I use Toppfix from Topps and granfix from tile depot, going to give some Benfer spf a try as well.

i used wickes adhesive for my own bathroom (tubbed) omg it was falling off my trowel![]()

I use Ultra mainly, although have used Palace and found it ok, not as good as Ultra though.


yeah ultra very good .norcross or johnsons . johnsons used to own bal so there addys r on par with them

I use Ultra and Ardex,
Ardex has to be one of the best adhesives I have used
The best place for tubbed adhesive is the shelf its on in the shop or maybe a hole in the ground.
