Tiling round the bath
Hi All
First post (and from a complete tiling novice).
So, we need to replace a few cut tiles round the bath. Tiles are ready, but the old tiles had about 10mm of adhesive on them (like a slice of thick bread!).
My question: what do I first need to put on the wall to make sure I don't use so much adhesive i.e. what do I need to put behind the adhesive? Polyfilla?
And do I then need to use PVA as a sealer?
And then the adhesive/tiles?
Thanks,
David

Not pva, try an acrylic primer and a powdered adhesive, they can be purchased in smaller quanties so allows you put on thicker

Re: Tiling round the bath
Well, the "Welcomes" were nice but the advice was even better!
OK, so just to make sure I have understood:
First, acrylic primer. Then powdered adhesive. Then the tiles?
Thanks,
David

Re: Tiling round the bath
Well, I thought I should give an update...
We bought some Mapei, put the tiles back on the wall...and I have to say it looks pretty good (mostly thanks to my wife who is by far the better of us 2 at doing the fiddly, needs-a-bit-of-thinking diy stuff).
Cheers.
