    Default Prepairing a concrete floor.

    Can you help,I have to tile a concrete floor,should i use the adhesive straight on the floor or should i prime or treat it with something first.

    If the floor is dusty then prime it.... some guys back blade and then comb through straight onto the substrate, but this method can suck moisture from the adhesive too quick.
    So usually best to prime.

    The floor is old,it has been painted over the years which i have scraped most of it off today.

    SBR Cement slurry to seal. Maybe sand it to remove the rest of the paint residue.

    same as above,
    if the concrete is as old as you say, the paint should be easier to scrape off so remove all the paint then sbr
