i dont know how many people on here have used it , beware , it is finer than a fine thing , i got mine cheap as its bag was split , weighed it and only lost 10 grams so i will have more than enough for my job , the bigger problem is , i look like a glitter fairy after i transferred it to a plastic tub![]()

I saw the gold glitter on a shop front in South Italy a few years ago. It was stunning, it was used with gold mosaics on a shop front.
I reckon silver is used most as in most cases people seem to be using the mapeglitter with the quartz tile that has the silvers speckles in it.

I think Mapei also do a blue and a red glitter but, I dont think it is stocked in the UK.

I think it makes it more unique, better with a small amount of glitter I think, no more than 1.5 bags of glitter for every 3kg of kerrapoxy design. (just my opinion)
Well I am using it with plain black porcelain tiles in the bathroom and will see what that looks like before I make my decision - I was planning on cutting down the amount of glitter in there too as I really don't want it to look cheap but just a little different. I hope it works out!
Oh and by the way does anyone know the RRP for Keraproxy design 3kg as I have had some real random quotes - one for £25 plus vat and another for £75 plus vat???
Oh ok - Brilliant thanks for that!!!![]()

I have PM you with an idea of cost mate, I would reccomend Tile Giant, price can vary just a little depending on colour chosen. I imagine you will probably go for the anthracite if you are using mapei, as they dont do black in Kerapoxy design.
let us know how you get on mate![]()

Thank you - yes I have gone to them and it's on order, and yes I have gone for anthracite. I am a little apprehensive of it looking naff but we shall see.
I will post photos as everyone knows about me and my glitter grout - should be done in the next 3 weeks.

good luck mate
and if you are not happy with the price go to other local stores to see if they will beat any prices you have been given

The glitter comes in 100g bags so that would be the minimum amount reccomedned for a 5kg tub.

I think it is best to keep it pretty subtle rather than having a large ratio, in my opinion no more than 150g would give you best results when used with 3 and 5 kg tubs.
When you are working with sparkly/ glitery mosaic then the ratio can be increased in my opinion. (it realy depends on personal prefference, whether you want achieve a subtle or a more prominent effect with the gliter)![]()

I want it to be really subtle so you suggest 1.5 bags for 3kg tub? it is going with black porcelain tiles 300x300 in a bathroom??

1.5 bag max mate! I think 1 bag would even be enough per 3 kg.
Ok great - as I really want subtle, also what size spacers would you recommend.

add the bag in bits at a time and stop if you think you have enough.![]()
