spec me an adhesive ......... in the
Tile Adhesive, Grout and Substrate Preparation at TilersForums;
............ so , i have glazed porcelain mosaic ( 50 x 50 on a 300 x 300 sheet ) the grout is going to be light grey / silver , ... -
spec me an adhesive .........
............ so , i have glazed porcelain mosaic ( 50 x 50 on a 300 x 300 sheet ) the grout is going to be light grey / silver , and they are going to mounted on backer board , i was kind of hoping i could use some form of readymix addy but i suspect that i will not be able to , if that is the case then what would give me the best pot time , think thats it for now

hi paul you will want something with a good grab either bal mosaic fix or pci nanolite is what i normally use for maosaics mate

The Mapei Kera-Flex Maxi would give you the longest working tile I should think. Nice stuff to work with as well.

ok , so i am stuck to mixing this stuff up in a bucket , do i need to buy a whisk to go in my drill ?? , also , what do you reckon is the best trowel notch to use ??

It only takes a few minutes Paul! A whisk in your drill might burn your drill out I would just mix it with a bucket trowel, you only need a 4mm trowel so you won't use a lot of addy

The problem is that you get a lot more for your money if you buy it in bigger bags. I dont use topps so I dont know what sizes they do but if your likely to use this addy in the future it might be worth buying a bigger bag then you need and keeping it for next time.
