    Default Has anyone used....

    Guys

Have any of you used Norcros adhesives and grouts? Previous posts suggest they were something to do with BAL but can't find any indications as to if their gear is actually any good?

Just had a new supplier open very close to me, they're an independent so I'd love to support them, their prices are half that of BAL and the spec sheets look good but having never heard of Norcros or used their products I'm a little nervous!! Any views or opinions appreciated. Many Thanks Chris

They are part of the Johnsons group I think based in Stoke on Trent.

I used them once or twice, didn't have any problems.
    Prefer mapei or ultra.

Norcros Group used to own BAL before Ardex bought them out, think they make sticky/grout for Johnsons now they also own Triton showers amongst others...

I used them once or twice, didn't have any problems.

Is that Ultra any good then Dom, you can get canny deals on it

After a few teething problems with a bad batch I have had no problems at all, the SLC does exactly what it should and I get such a good price that I would be silly to go anywhere else.
If I am working away though and need adhesive I would use mapei as they are everywhere and so dependable on quality.

I've used Norcross a bit, prefare Mapei. I found Norcross grout goes off in the bag after a few days once opened.
