Hello all,

I have just looked at the poll ref most used adhesives in 2009 but the product I am enquiring about didn't feature in the Poll! I have just completed a kitchen floor for someone and used BAL products as they were available in the area I was in and the customer had requested them after being advised to do so. As expected, I found the BAL Addy and grout easy to work with but I don't expect to use these products for all future jobs.
I am hoping to start up in tiling in the summer of 2011 on leaving the forces in the North Cornwall area. None of the local builders merchants, tile shop or DIY store stock anything other than Ever Build. I am assured by the stockists that the Ever Build range is a good product and that they have never had any complaints from anyone that has used them. Have any of you ever used or heard of this brand of adhesive/grout?

Any info relating to the above product will be greatfully recieved.

i think they acquired Feb of of BASF who make PCI and Sontex

never tried the adhesive but i use the silicone all the time.

I'm sure somebody said they were in trouble but it could just be a rumour as I haven't seen anything else about it.

The thing with everbuild is that they make so many adhesives and whilst they have financial clout I just can't see them spending as much money on research and product development as opposed to a dedicated tile adhesive manufacturer like Mapei, BAL or even Ardex. The range of their tile adhesives is much smaller too leaning towards them being for the DIY market rather than trade. Just my opinion

I used the adhesive and grout in one stuff, flexible bagged. Customer supplied it as i had never heard of it. Packaging looked cheap and the white looked more pink after drying. No problems with adhesive but the grout side of it failed, spacers were only 2mm. I did not enjoy using this product, I prefer Nicobond gear or Ultra.

Use a couple of Everbuilds sealers

We get everbuild SPF white supplied alot, addy is Ok but dont like the grouts
