Am I ok to use Mapei's D1 on a 450*250 tile straight onto plasterboard? I was thinking that it may be a bit large for this ceramic tile ?
Thanks

Personally i wouldnt use it for this size tile.

Best bet is to call Mapei tech support. They'll tell you if they'd be willing to guarantee it. I've seen ready mix used on bigger tiles, but it's not something i'd recommend personally.![]()

Me personally wouldn't use tubbed addy on a tile that size. I'd go with p9, or something similar.![]()

Generally wouldn't use readymix on anything bigger than 8x8.

as above to big bagged gear needed for them and it will give you piece of mind!![]()

Big no no from me! Seen similar size fall off before using tubbed!

Probably a little big for a dispersion adhesive imo.

I would say 'way too big' for dispersion addy. get yourself a bag of Mapei p9 and an 8mm trowel min.
hows work up there Boosha
Work is going fine guys. I was funked around just the other week on an 80m2 slate job so that was good however I have just done one en suite for a customer and she has got me to do the other straight away before christmas. ( I do the full rip outs, reboard, replumb and tile)
