You should leave a small gap in the corners, about 3mm and seal with silicone, I silicone around the bath, windows and if the floor is tiled then around the perimeter of that as well, around the door casings leaves a professional finish.

In the corners of the wall etc to allow for expansion then fill with silicone to seal.

all internal corners and round bath or shower and were the floor meets the wall tiles especially when there is movement such as ply lined floors in a bathroom i see so many jobs were the tiler has grouted between walls and floors and has cracked it looks bad.it takes little effort to silicone a much more professional finish!

I noticed in the corner tape video that the guy uses special wipes before applying tape, these seem like a waste of money whats the best thing for getting rid of grout residue as what ever i try i can never get rid of it all.

Cass, well done for trying to find out! It may really be worth your while to do a tiling course though..these are pretty basic questions and learning it properly would make your work so much more enjoyable... it's obvious you want to do a good job.

    Question Re: silicone sealing

I have done a tiling course 2 two years ago, when i'm sealing a bathroom i allways seal two internal corners of bath and round bath and round floor if walls and floor have been tiled.I was just looking for second appinion, some of the guys said that they seal round windows and around door frame i might start doing this in future. The other thing i wasnt sure about is no matter how hard i try somtimes i cant get rid of all the grout residue just wondering if any of you guys or galls have any ideas what do u use.

all internal corners, around bath, window and door frame, around shower and also wall to floor(i know it's an internal corner before somebody says)!

recently done a full bathroom re-grouting where the corners had been grouted, within 2 years it had broken away(a mixture of cheap grout and bad practice) had it been left any longer it probably would have caused damage to the tiling with water ingressing into the open crack!
