Keraflex?? Or something quicker hopefully??
Hi
Recently tiled my kitchen floor with Keraquik and thought it was great stuff. Got to do the bathroom floor now, however this time the floors not solid it's wbp ply over floorboards screwed down solid....
Was looking at using Keraflex however I could do with something thats sets a bit quicker....could I use Keraquik again?? Not sure if it's flexible enough though??
And do I need to seal the ply with anything first if so what??
Cheers
Gareth

Re: Keraflex?? Or something quicker hopefully??
Think I'll mix it with the latex stuff just to be on the safe side....
Why not seal the ply if it's already down?? It can easily come back if need be??
Cheers

You need only seal the underside and edges, but never the surface you are fixing to. So long as it is WBP plywood you should be OK.
Have you thought about overlaying the ply with Hardie Backerboard - that'll be quicker and easier than uplifting to seal the underside of the ply and it's waterproof as well as being more stable than the ply

Yeah I was considering using hardiebacker after reading posts on here but the nearest place that sells it that I could find is 20 miles away so went for ply instead it's very solid so fingers crossed....
Cheers

Honest mate, if the ply is solid and you're using Keraquick and Latexplus you will have zero problems
What grout you going to use - are you able to get Ultracolour?
