A single part flexible cement based adhesive would be my choice, maybe fast setting depending on your skill level.

Hello Wardie, welcome to tilersforums. You can use a one part flexible bagged adhesive if you want, I prefer the bagged to the tubbed adhesive as do many other tilers on here.

Never use tubbed addy in a wet area/shower recess unless its a D2 formulation.

    Thanks guys.

Thinking ahead.. My local stockist stocks Bal supeflex grout- is this the best grout for the shower? (bearing in mind the shower walls are stud walls with plasterboard).

Or is the Mapei colour plus grout better- even though it doesn't specifically mention being 'flexible'?

Thanks for your help guys, I'm just keen to get this job right first time.. lol.
