variset in the
Tile Adhesive, Grout and Substrate Preparation at TilersForums;
Have any of you tried the new adhesive from BAL variset although it is killing me to say as I am more a mapei fan than a BAL fan it ... -

Someone just told me the same thing Dean....ermm now who was it ...
As i said before i cant see a need at the moment with my type of work but you never know....i am sure Mapei will come up with something similar soon.

Very very expensive though...
..At least we know mapei isn't high priced..and as mentioned other comps will follow suit..i'm sure.

From the feedback i have had and i have priced it as well deano..it is a fortune mate IMHO...
I can get rapidsetting adhesive for around a tenner and i have my own tricks for making it set like the clappers..

ain't we been doing it for years Dave!!!!!
all they sound like they are doing is giving you the hardener to put in yourselves big deal

No m8 it go’s of in 10 minutes flat. but you add the inhibitor if you need it to take longer

i got a bag to try on monday. didnt use the retarder with it as it was for under appliances. did the cutting and then mixed addy. went off in 5 mins. pretty expensive but may keep a bag on van just for any cuts i have to do last thing before grouting.
