would like to no peoples opinions on the best adhesive to use for travertine tiles

one that is S1 and fills the back of the tiles!

keraflex or toppfix flexi(white obviously)

or even keraquick white if you need speed ! lol

this adhesive has been around since the start of mapei, 10 years,
there common product is keraflex maxi (S1), keraflex (c2te) is still avalible, but not reccommend for ply etc.!

I'd use white addy with travertine, but surely the substrate will affect what is the best addy to use for a job?? Can you be more specific please?

does not matter!
people should no longer use "keraflex" unless its ceramic tiles/porcelain tiles on plaster/plasterboard.

maxi should be used for large format (above 20x25cm!!!!!!!)
and with ply etc.

travertine comes in sizes 300x300 and up unless its mosaic!

keraflex is suitable for stone materials,nobody mentioned size!
as long as it's moisture stable!

you are right if it it's large format but if not it's perfectly suitable!

comes in 100 x100 if it's tumbled lee... and 200 x100 amd 400 x 200 and and...

Not rare where i get my stone...shop around lee...loads and loads of new gear hitting the uk....

I have a bathroom in november that is free length marble in 6 inch strips..

nitty picky...

not to mention ordanary keraflex is hard to get!

still ends up being large format...

some are 6" x 48"...152x1208

Free length..comes in loads of random sizes..from 10 inch to max of 600mm...highly polished in silver grey..

anything above 250x 200 is considered large format,
so 150x 450 is large format IMO.
i think keraflex will do but maxi is better!
