Kerraflex Adhesive.
Hi, just a quick question to you experts out there.
Just about to finish shower tiling using Kerraflex adhesive.
How long should I wait after tiling before grouting?
And how long after grouting can I use the shower?
Can't find this info on either of the packs.
(Mapei Ultracolor Plus Grout).
Cheers in advance.

Re: Kerraflex Adhesive.
Hi there and welcome.
You can start to grout after 3/4 hours, 24 hours should be allowed before using the shower, do you have to seal anywhere?

Re: Kerraflex Adhesive.
There's loads of great info on the mapei website:
www.mapei.co.uk
Click on the button for "Products for ceramics and stone materials," then you can find the data sheets for all their adhesives and grouts, etc.
The specific pages you need though are keraflex:
http://www.mapei.it/Referenze/Multimedia/106_keraflex_gb.pdf
And Ultracolour plus:
http://www.mapei.it/Referenze/Multim...%20plus_gb.pdf
It's worth reading the whole sheet before using them, especially the grout as there's a specific way to mix it (so I believe). And it sets very quickly.
But after a quick read it says to grout on keraflex after 4-8 hours and it says the grout is ready to use after 24 hours. But like I say, you're best off reading it all

Yes I have got some Dow Corning 785 to go around the edges and to seal around the bottom of the glass screens.

Re: Kerraflex Adhesive.
You do need ro read on....it's 14 days and most spec i have read from many manufacturers say the same...the grout might be fine after 24 hrs but the adhesive isn't at full tensile strength till around 14 days. upto 21 days in swiming pools.
