Advice needed please
I have just lifted a 17m2 failed floor, tiles debonded from the floor and all the adhesive came up on the back of the tiles ( NONE ON FLOOR ) the floor had been down for about 15yrs.
The floor has a very thin layer (1mm) of black residue from marley tiles, about 50/50 , black residue/clean screed,
I have cleaned the floor and primed with 2-1 bal sbr, DO I NEED TO USE A SLC/ ACRYBASE OR CAN I JUST USE RAPID SET FLEX,
glazed porc going down 30x30
THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Re: Advice needed please
Take it off if you can, A paint stripping heat gun works well apparently, Has the floor actually failed, after 15 years? or was it just easy to get up?

Re: Advice needed please
Has the top of the screed blown? why is it hollow sounding? Has it been significantly wet? What sort of screed is it?

Re: Advice needed please
I have primed this 1mm of bitumen residue with bal sbr 2-1 will this be ok to tile with rapid flex

Re: Advice needed please
Benfer adhesives say that the bitumen can be primed with a neat acrylic primer before using Benferflex adhesive.
