Hi all,
Wife and I are at loggerheads again - this time over grout colour. She has picked out tile pattern - see pic (cream, grey and brown tiles). I was going to use white grout but she has suggested grey!
What would the pro's advise on appropriate grout colour?
I am using Keraflex Maxi for adhesive so was going to go for Mapei Ultracolour grout to keep it in the Mapei family, so if there is a particular ultracolour you have in mind, please shout!
Cheers
Jimbob
Second thoughts, with the grey tiles you could be right! BUT I still like Jasmine.................she's a babe...........
i am a big fan of mapei ultracolour, but looking at the photo and the mix of colours a light grey would be better imo, and i am a big fan of 130 also!!!
yeah, I did. Never really gave it much thought - just assumed I'd use white until the missus said she wanted grey. That's twice now she's been right in the past month - shocking
speaking from experience, its easier to sit back and enjoy the ride,
after all if she is wrong, you were right!
You may be on to something there...
I take it I should use the same colour Mapei silicone to seal between tiles and worktop etc??
Also I have attached pic of floor tile which will be laid - will 111 Grey be ok to use for those too? It would be good if I could just order a bulk lot of the same colour grout rather than bags of different colour ones....
Cheers mate
Yes GRR. We spotted these last weekend - brown tile matches colour of work units, grey will match floor tile and cream one will lighten things up a bit, so the pattern is ideal

I really like it Jimbob. think it will suit your kitchen very well. Go with what the wife says, grey or as the boys suggested, Jasmine
I'm looking forward to seeing the finished kitchen

Reason: typo
Seems to be a bit of a split between grey and cream/jasmine then, so the wife can't take all the bragging rights
There is a sample board of their ultracolours at my local Tile Giant, so we'll have to pop in and see which we prefer, but may take Dagger's advice and let her get her way, then the responsibility is not mine

it will not fair so well on the floor of a kitchen mate, its too light,
ideal for a your splashback imo, but NOT the floor! 113 maybe?
i cant see a picture of the floor tiles!

Cheers to everyone for your suggestions.
I'll post some pics when it's all done (assuming it doesn't look too much like a dog's dinner after I'm done with it!)
One last request - can't seem to find anything on Mapei website showing the different colours that have been suggested above from their ultracolour range. Can someone post a link please if there is one?
All best
