Mapei grout in the
Tile Adhesive, Grout and Substrate Preparation at TilersForums;
Just a heads up regarding Mapies grout
i did a splashback the other day and i used my usual Jasmine grout
i had two packets 5kg and the one all ... -

i had two packets 5kg and the one all the writing was in foreign
two completely diff shades
just make sure you have all of the same batch etc etc

all foil bags but they have switched production to Spain i think and the mix on the grouts are def different

dont sound good. I think you may of been unlucky there. they do say not to use two bags purchase at diffrent times. was this the case or did your supplier just sell them both at the same time?

ive used mapei for ages and never had a problem im not blaming them i should of thought ahead a bit i realised at the time as in the mix the "spainish " was visably lighter in colour they dryed fairly close but not good enough for me

Never mix colour batches, is the answer. Always check the batch number - don't just rely of the bag language. It is possible that the mix is slightly different for the warmer countries as it is a real problem grouting when the temperature is in the 40s - something not likely to happen in the UK, eh?
I thought I might add, for those of you interested, a link to the Mapei website, where you can see both the history of the company and the location of the factories through the world. It is a local company (to me) so I have had the opportunity to meet a few people from the factory (including Sig. Squinzi at La Scala a couple of years ago).
