at the risk off sounding stupid!!Is there any tips for taking tiles off plasterboard to get minimal damage?

a very good,solid wallpaper scraper or old bucket trowel and a hammer,and a pair of gloves........oh! and a towel to wipe the sweat from your brow..........lol

If you do damage the plasterboard, just bite the bullet and hack the lot off, it's faster than messing about.

Try something like this
Ansell Floor & Wall Tile Remover Chisel Tiles Removal on eBay (end time 12-Oct-09 1258 BST)
But it will all depend on how the tiles were fixed in the 1st place. Sometimes its quicker and cheaper to remove plasterboard too and replace it all.
