Can anyone advise on minimum and maximum timeframes between priming and tiling on to concrete (40 yr old floor). Also the min and max waiting times between priming, leveling (if necessary) and tiling and would you prime again after leveling?
I plan to use APD / PCI primer followed by Bal multibase then keraquick adhesive. tiles are polished porcelain.
Cheers

Re: Timeframes
It depends upon the pourosity of the substrate but directions are o n the back of the bottles.....
Did you know you can get mapei latex plan trade a lot cheaper than multibase...Around £14 a unit( powder/liquid)....then you are using all mapei products and get a backed guarentee then, rather than mixing products and getting nowt..
.
And no need to prime the slc was dry...

HI Dave
Sounds like staying with the same product is a better bet then. Would a normal conrete mix be used to fill some very smal divits in the floor and some gaps below and around the skirting area (resulting from skirting removal) to prevent run off or is there a special product for that?
If I wanted to prime first to do Mapei have anything compatable?
Thanks
