You don't need to seal it unless its used with polished porcelian or stone, slate etc..........

If i fix ceramic's or porcelain i always ask the customer if they want the grout sealed to help with maintenance. Its a good ad on service, most customers want it, but dont know about it unless you mention it.

I've used seal guard on my own bathroom and the water just runs off the grout rather than sitting there. Easy to spray on aswell but make sure room is well ventilated.
