Tub stuff given away free by some tile shops, that speaks volumes

Re: sovereign addy anyone used it?
Doug-
Sovereign - Its been around for 35 years! Mainly in the south of England I believe 'cause that's where I first used it.
Have also used the white grout (oftn in the last 3 years or so ) which comes in seperate packs within a larger 10kg bag - Its very good.
Have used the fast set but cannot remember if it was any good - sorry!
Timeless John.

Re: sovereign addy anyone used it?
Used it over a few years, never had a problem with it and would use it now if my local tile shop was'nt charging so much. It does have it's limitations though, not to be used in swimming pools and if you are applying onto ply it needs priming, which I learnt after a fews years of using and never had a problem. It's quite smooth and dos'nt suddenly set on you, good stuff IMO.
Mind you it was the grey only I ever used

Re: sovereign addy anyone used it?
I not a tiler so not used it personally but I have seen a few sites where it has been used and also their primers (SBR) mainly. I can't comment on how easy it was for the tilers to use but I know there were no issues long term. Not sure if this any help or not.

Re: sovereign addy anyone used it?
One was a house in Norfolk - Travertine on sand cement heated screed. Another was I think it was Porcelain on another house in Cambridge also on sand cement. Couldn't say which specfic products though but gives a bit more info for you. Also seen their SBR used as a primer on anhydrite. This did cause problems first time round but that was because the screed was still wet through - I did tell him not to tile the screed 4 days after it was laid), they stripped it, dried it and reapplied I have heard nothing more from it since so assume all now ok.
