slc dodgy floor
Hi all after a bit of advice have just had first day on bathroom refit after being told customer was preping ufh and slc and that it was now ready for tiling. But a bad job of it is being kind as the slc stops 6 inches short of all edges cable is still proud and there are lumps and bumps everywhere so i am after the easiet way possible to correct it.Would it be easiest to prime what has been done and just put another load of slc down or is there another way without suffering with the height to much, any advice would be apprieciated.

Re: slc dodgy floor
Did the customer use the right slc out of interest, ie a latex one, otherwise you are wasting your time!

Re: slc dodgy floor
I'd be doing what you said but informing the customer WHY I was doing it. I be checking just how high the highest point is though.

Re: slc dodgy floor
it's best to stress that they will have to pay for leveling the floor because you don't want to be reponsible for an inferior job.
And check the ufh still works before you touch it as well, just in case!

Re: slc dodgy floor
I was asked to estimate for a limestone kitchen floor...First thing I says is "I'll have level the floor prior to tiling". Customer then sheepishly admitted that he had already tried to level it - Doh!
.
Customer realised he was rubbish at DIY and I got the job to do it properly.
