Tile Adhesive, Grout and Substrate Preparation at TilersForums;
was sold some bagged addy at topps the date on the bags was in may is this date a manufactured date or a use by date it took ages to ... -

was sold some bagged addy at topps the date on the bags was in may is this date a manufactured date or a use by date it took ages to go off thats why i checked the date

That is the manufacture date..that is how they can stock rotate for expiry etc... as most addys have a 12 month shelf life ..

Very good point. Speaking from a retail perspective, we very rarely have adhesive in store for more than about 2 weeks and stock is rotated as we get it
When we get new bags in, it could be stuff that was made 1 - 2 months ago.

They don't Doug thats why its a hard life being a Tiler and they quite often get it wrong we have all had adhesive that wont dry or goes off in the bucket
