Adhesive advice
Hi,
I am think of purchasing the following adhesive
...pci tile fast 6
The floor is concrete screed with wet underfloor heating, the tiles 600x600 porcelain. Will this adhesive be suitable. I have about 60m2 to complete and the trying to work out how much adhesive i will need. The PCI site says I will only need about 6 bags which seems a bit low to me. It seems cost affective to order half a pallet of 28bags because they work out at less than £10, rather than order individual bags of adhesive that cost around £20.
I also need to complete some tiling in the bathroom approx 7m2. I have overlayed with 18mm ply and am going to lay 10mm Marmox insulated cement backer boards and then electric underfloor heating mat. Will the PCI rapidflex be suitable for laying the Marmox boards onto the ply or will I need a more specialist adhesive suitable for wood and electric underfloor heating.
Thanks for any advice

One member pjc uses pci all the time, he would be the man to ask

Re: Adhesive advice
Tiefast 6 is not suitable for porcelain OR underfloor heating(without the use of PCI Admix) It will probably be cheaper to use Tilefast 6 flex or 6 rapid flex or Floorfast 20 (PTB). For 60m you will need around 12-15 bags

Re: Adhesive advice
Hi,
Thanks for the reply, it is actually PCI 6 Rapidflex, I posted a link to the product but it was edited by a mod and I couldn't find a way of editing it with the correct info.
Would the PCI 6 rapid flex be suitable to sticking marmox board to ply and also using for the electric UFH mat on top of the marmox.
Thanks

Re: Adhesive advice

Re: Adhesive advice
It should be OK , Pci s little black book doesn't mention marmox board or tilebacker boards, why don't you give their technical services a bell 0161 794 7411
Under floor heating is ok, just do as Ajax123 has said and dont turn it on until 7 days after you grout

Re: Adhesive advice
if it's any help i tend to work out the amount of floor adhesive as each bag = 4/5m2 depending on how level it is
