    Default Cementboard

    I want to fix some cemnt board to build up a window sill can I use a dry wall adhesive

    you can just screw it in to the existing platerboard and it shouldn't be a problem! you could even screw in another sheet of plasterboard onto the existing and it's cheaper
    alcohol-the cause and solution to all of lifes problems

    I've got some left over cement board and it on to brick. I've got both dry wall adhesive and the boards in the garage and hoped I could use them together and avoid a Sunday morning trip to b&q :-)

    if it's going onto brick you will need cement based adhesive mate,the tubbed gear is no use really!

    Smithy - Its after lunch so you must have done it by now!


    Cement board/dry wall adhesive should be fine.
    Cement board/cement based powder adhesive better.

    Hi guys thanks for the replys. I found some plasterboard in the end so just dot dabbed that in the end.

    John - When you say cement based adhesive I take it were talking tiling adhesive here. Could you give an example of product for future reference
