Has anybody used this, and if so is it any good? They sold me £200 worth in place of BAL SPF (I believe normal...not rapid) that I originally wanted.

I am due to go pick up the 7 bags tommorow eve, but was wondering if I should ask them to swap for BAL?

Never used it and don't know if it is any good. But I know it is made by Palace and then put in Topps branded bags

there was one or two problems with Palace adhesive a few months ago, personally I'd not take the chance, bal is a trusted adhesive, even if it is rather pricey!

I thought I read something!....... I have also added another post for advice on what type of adhesives I should use.

You could buy 36+ bags of Webber for that. (when its on special)

Stick with the adhesive you know or shop around!

7 bags for £200! You can nearly get 7 bags of Keraquick at Retail price for that much!

Personally I've not had a problem with it but use mapei P9 on the walls now

I've had no problems with Topps either.

i can get 8 bags of bal spf out of topps for that money
they only charge 23 per bag

What problems? was it floor adhesive?

i have used it without any problems but i think you are being ripped off at the prices you are paying.

I agree, price is sore

£29 per bag,i can get it for under less than half this ...way less.poor guy.

This is why a lot of guys on here dislike TOPPS....rip off merchants if you let them get away with it.

Used Topps own brand a lot, no problems, it's even featured in this famous video clip!!!

Luckily I havent picked it up yet (it was 7 x 20kg bags @ £31 a bag......... going back in later on to get refund and will see what BAL comes out at (or Mapei from Tile Giant over the road from Topps)

have used tops rapidset flex coupletimes material ok but hasent got much body to it also bit slumpy so if uve got to bed heavy need to mix it stiff also have bn paying bout £10 bag ure paying over going price

your going to be a fair bit dearer for bal stuff in topps than you would pay for toppfix,have you got a trade account or can you open one?

LOL...that bags more famous than me.

I use Topps gear all the time and have had no prons with it touch wood.

That price is ridiculous though. Topps gear is down to around 9 quid a bag for flexi and 6 for non atm.

I see that Tile depot down here have tried to match topps by dropping their Ronny reptile gear (made by Granfix) to a tenner a bag.

Topps can be rip off merchants some times, and their tiles can be dodgy at times, but i owe them for alot of my work at the mo so i can't complain.
