What prep is needed?
Hi guys and gals,
Got my first job tomorrow, bathroom walls and floor in an newbuild house (cement board and plaster). My questions are:-
1) The bathroom is currently only half tiled and the other walls have been painted. Is there any special prep i need to do on the painted walls?
2) I'm tanking around the shower, do i prime before tanking goes on or after?
3) Using mapai single part flex addy, do i need to use mapai primer or can i use another brand?
These questions have probably been asked and answered before but the forum is so large that i'd be here next week looking for the answer lol.
Thanks in advance.

Re: What prep is needed?
If the paint is emulsion paint it will need to be removed. Prime plaster with an acrylic primer before applying adhesive...i.e before fixing the tanking membrane. Not necessary to prime the membrane afterwards though!!
