Default Adhesive for 300 * 600 ceramic tiles

Which type of adhesive would you use for tiling a bathroom, mainly a shower area ? I have only ever used tub stuff on smaller tiles and I am wondering if this would do for the size of tile i am using.Topps recommend one of the bal tub adhesives ( i think it was bal grip).

Do not use a dispersion adhesive on that size tile......more excellent advice from a retailer.....

You need to use a cement based adhesive...something like mapei P9 if you like a standard set or an equivalant from your retailer...

With this type of adhesive would you mix it so it is slightly thicker than say grout and where is the best place to buy it from ?

Hi mike...yes just wet enough so it's not like slop...then you get a good bed...if the adhesive is too dry then the ribs do not collapse and create a nice solid fix...

Any good tile retailer will sell a standard set adhesive and if you reequire mapei then tilegiant or tile it all sell it...
