You may be confusing setting time with "open time". This is the time you need to get your tiles down in before it skins over and you have to take it off and trowel fresh adhesive down.
You should really do your cuts first before spreading your adhesive anyway, and you would be surprised how long a time 15mins is for adjusting.
3mm is not significant for packing with adhesive, it will be fine.

Re: mapei flexi setting time
If you can you may be better changing to a slow setting adhesive. Failing that then you will have to dry lay and get the cuts ready before mixing adhesive.

Re: mapei flexi setting time
i reckon i will go with precutting and dry laying my tiles. The bathroom is slightly out line and i will have to take a tad of four tiles so it fits right on the wall as you go into the bathroom not much just enough to drive me crackers Ok i am more settled on it now was getting a birt paranoid thinking the adhesive wouldnt shift after 15 mins if i wanted a slight twist on a tile thanks
