BAL Whitestar dicontinued? in the

My local Topps guy told me Bal are no longer making Whitestar, it is to be replaced with BAL grip or BAL white-grip, can't remember exactly what he said. Any ... -
BAL Whitestar dicontinued?
My local Topps guy told me Bal are no longer making Whitestar, it is to be replaced with BAL grip or BAL white-grip, can't remember exactly what he said. Any one else heard of this?
The guy said this new stuff is supposed to be better, not sure how as Whitestar is the dogs!

I used Whitestar for the first time today and have to agree! It's far better than the cheap brands I am used to using!

Unfortunately it's true,White star should no longer be stocked by Topps,however I still order it and am still getting it until production finishes,I have friends at Bal and will get it from the horses mouth.Watch this space!

I agree...why fix something that isn't broke?
If this BAL Grip is supposed to be better than the Whitestar it is replacing then it must be some heavy duty s**t!

I have it straight from my freindly BAL techno boys and area manager WHITE STAR IS HERE TO STAY its the number one best selling tub adhesive BAL make and that is official,three cheers for BAL hip hip,hip hip,hip hip,

yes flexable to a certain degree ,you cant use it on floors though

yeah, its flexible and waterproof. Fantastic if you have to tile on wooden or plasterboard walls. I pretty much only use white star these days, in my opinion, its the best tub adhesive. More expensive, but anyone who's had to strip off tiles in a room thats been tiled in whitestar will know what quality stuff it is.

Wot do u lot use to clean your tools after using white star/Grip.
I hate that bit at the end of the day.........scraping the ****e out of my trowels

I always had a bucket of fairly hot water handy all day and cleaned at the end of each application
get those green pan scourers,very handy to have for cleaning empty adh buckets for re-use

lol i know its a late entry to this subject cuz its been open a while but my apprentice is the best tool cleaner in the world, i remember getting £27.50 a week on a yts, they get payed at 16 years old £129, i had £10 digs, £10 bus fares and i smoked so £7.50 for fags and irn bru... they have it soo easy now lol
