Hi, can anyone tell me whether Sovereign gripmaster wall tile adhesive is suitable for bathroom floors please. If not I have made a booboo as I have nigh on finished the bathroom floor and have just realided the adhesive is for walls. It does not say on the label not to use on floors.

Sadly no, it is not suitable for floor tiling. I fear you will have problems.

yip,you should take it up and get adhesive off and re use the tiles.Powdered adhesive for floors..and if its a wooden floor then it should be plyed out 12mm ply and single part flexi adhesive used.

Thanks for that! I feel not all is lost I shall get on with the job straight away. It is a wooden floor and I have plyed it with 12mm ply and adhesive but thanks anyway. Don't know what I was thinking as I've tiled before.

is spf good enough for wooded floors?

Keraquick with Latex plus is the way to go...

i hope so, it's what I usually use!

You might find that you have contaminated your ply now...so could be a ply replace as well..You will find it hard to remove the dispersion adhesive completely from the ply..

If you soak the tiles in water the addy may soften and maybe easy to scrape off

iv'e been using flexible,primed first,i didn't find any mention of opf on ply floors when i read the specs

its fine ,dont worry about it.

Never use wall adhesive for floors,unless it states you can use it for both,usually powder adhesive with built in flex.
