What adhesive?
Hi, Im new to the site and would be grateful if some of you could give me some advice. Im starting to tile a friends bathroom walls soon and am not sure what adhesive to use, the tiles Im told are 600mm x 300mm (he's not sure if they are ceramic of porcelain but will find out for me) and will be going on to stud work with aquapanel which Im putting up this weekend and normal brick and plaster wall that old tiles are being stripped from.
I was thinking of using Bal rapidset flexible, is there any other alternatives that are maybe a bit cheaper? Or would this be the best thing to use? Does it need to be flexible?

Re: What adhesive?
Bal Single part flex is what i would use mate, only because rapidset does exactly what it says on the tin and if yourne not careful it will go off like a rocket leaving no room for any errors, especially if this is one of your first jobs

Re: What adhesive?
Weber set plus white is what i'd use only a tenner a bag for 20kg and made specific for wall tiling porcelain or ceramics

Re: What adhesive?
Or Ardex x7g plus? (lovely stuff)
Or any standard setting flexible addy with porcelbond, if you're not fast enough or confident enough to use rapid set?
Good luck.

if liquid gold would stick tiles it would be cheaper! seriously, tiles that size wether porc or ceramic need powdered cementious addy. I'd use Ultra single part flexi (spf)

Mapei kerraquick is what I also would use. Good grab and decent pot pot life.

Re: What adhesive?
thanks for all the replys, think I may go for Mapei kerraquick, I was going to prime the walls with bal primer, but am i right in thinking that the aquapanels don't need to be primed?
