    Default Help with slc!!

    I have a hallway floor to tile and the subfloor is asphalt which needs levelling,i know i need a flexi slc but can anyone recommend a product to use and should i just use a feather edge to level out?

    Hi Den......

    Degrease the floor with sugar soap......prime with SBR mixed with cement ( slurry coat ) and then level with latex based SLC......before the slurry coat dries.

    would you say mapei fibreplan would be the best choice Dave, as it wouldn't need to be "worked" on top of a wet slurry coat?

    Fibre plan is fine...But for added adhesion a slurry coat is great...before slc on asphalt floors..

    BUT not needed 100% of the time....just it does give a good base..
