    Default Tiling Backgrounds

    Hi Everyone,

When you remove old tiles from a wall you are usualy left with the old adhesive stuck to the wall.

After scapping some of it off can you just tile straight back over it, or does it all need to come off?

If it all needs to come off whats the best tool to use?

    Thanks

They have to be clean for the grout to set. The old grout will not have the same integrity as the new stuff. If you don't get the tile clean, you are setting yourself up for a major headache later.

Try a wire brush. Or try soaking them in vinegar. You gotta get that old grout off.

Hi, Using the back edge of a comb takes most adhesives of the wall. Just hack away.2Balls
